Interactive World Map from MSF Tells Refugee Stories of Survival

Andrew Beelitz

MSF (Medecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders) provides medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare. It is a non-profit, self-governed, member-based organisation, founded in 1971 in Paris by a group of journalists and doctors. Today, MSF is made up of almost 68,000 people.

Stories of survival from around the world

There are now over 70 million people forced from home around the world – more than at any time in modern history. For World Refugee Day, MSF featured Stories of Survival—a collection of video testimonies and first-hand accounts from people who have risked everything for a chance at safety.

MSF used ThingLink to create an interactive map as an embed in their website. It allows readers to learn more about the stories that appear throughout the article through one visual table of contents.
