Immersive learning is transforming healthcare education by providing interactive virtual tours and scenario-based experiences that enable learners and professionals to build confidence and real-world readiness. From clinical training to orientation for healthcare facilities, interactive simulations offer new ways to develop essential skills, comfort / confidence and prepare teams for complex healthcare environments.

In this session, Louise Jones and Dee Gotsopoulos from ThingLink are delighted to be joined by a panel of experts from the University of Salford’s Learning and Teaching Enhancement Centre (LTEC) who have supported curriculum leaders to develop a range of outstanding immersive learning examples for health education.

Example in Action

Simulation using ThingLink, which takes users around the Medical Imaging Centre at the University of Salford. This tour familiarises users with various simple health and safety or radiation safety issues that have to be considered when using an x-ray facility such as this.
