Introduction to Giulia

My name is Giulia Calogero, and I teach Italian Literature and History in upper secondary school in the province of Taranto. I am a trainer in innovative teaching methodologies supported by digital technologies, and I enjoy experimenting with new tools, languages, and teaching approaches with my students.

Giulia’s ThingLink Project

This project is an escape room designed for the open days of the school where I teach, created to present the educational and training offer in an original and engaging way.

What inspired you to create this project?

I was inspired by youth culture, the tools young people use and prefer, as well as the integration of artificial intelligence in ThingLink, which represents an added value in the creation of immersive and interactive digital artifacts.

Students greatly appreciated this “interactive journey,” which allowed them to discover the school’s educational offer while also challenging themselves with an escape room and the solving of puzzles.

Do you have any other projects in development?

I am currently designing, together with my students, a “Dantean multiverse” featuring a 360° image created with artificial intelligence, in which various artifacts created by the students will be included.

What do you love about using ThingLink?

The unique aspect of ThingLink is the ability to create inclusive and immersive interactive projects, using 360° images that make learning more engaging, along with the possibility of integrating other apps and different languages such as text, images, video, and audio, all within a single learning space.
