ThingLink has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India.

The collaboration establishes a framework to introduce immersive, interactive, and AI-supported learning models across India’s skill development ecosystem. The focus is on strengthening trainer capability, enhancing learner engagement, and enabling measurable competency development aligned with national skill and education priorities.

“This collaboration supports our continued efforts to strengthen digital innovation within India’s skill and education development ecosystem,” said Gautam Sinha, General Manager, National Skill Development Corporation. “Immersive and interactive technologies have the potential to enhance learner engagement, support trainer effectiveness, and contribute to competency-based training aligned with evolving industry needs.”

ThingLink’s platform enables the creation of immersive learning experiences combined with scenario-based evaluation of applied knowledge and situational understanding. By combining rapid immersive and spatial content creation with AI-supported workflows, the collaboration aims to support the modernization of the TVET system by shifting from attendance-based training toward always-accessible, contextual, and guided digital learning experiences that help learners build and demonstrate competencies. It enhances skill competencies and provides employment readiness aligned with industry and demanding workforce requirements.

“India is actively advancing digital transformation and AI integration across education and skills systems,” said Ulla-Maaria Koivula, Founder and CEO of ThingLink. “Our goal is to support that transformation by providing immersive learning and assessment infrastructure that enables measurable, scalable impact.”

The collaboration takes place within a broader context of strengthening EU–India and Finland–India cooperation in digital innovation, skills development, and workforce modernization.
