Introducing David!

I work in the Immersive Technology team at TAFE Queensland. Helping activate XR Hubs and bring immersive experiences to teachers and students across Queensland, Australia.

David’s Brilliant and Impactful ThingLink Project!

This is 360 photo-based, linear safety tour of a commercial kitchen. It allows students to identify hazards, risks and safety notices. Audio, text and images are used on every scene and hotspot.

What inspired you to create this?

Promoting ThingLink as a tool for educators to create their own localised learning materials. This was created with a chef as subject matter expert and my experience as an instructional designer.

How is this experienced by the students?

It’s newly published but is fully ready and intended to be used with students attending the Southbank TAFE campus in Brisbane, Queensland.

What do you love about ThingLink?

The simple interface to accomplish targeted and immersive content!

Do you have any other ThingLink projects in the pipeline?

Re-usability is something to strive for, trying to use the same set of photos for higher order thinking or more complex topics. Though, a similar food safety is the next likely project!

Connect with David!
