An innovative way… to stimulate interpersonal skills such as teamwork and communication skills. It also helps us to learn about how a team can operate under stressful situations and what skills we need in order to provide care efficiently.Learner Feedback to ThingLink Sepsis Escape Room created by Dr Abhi Jones, Clinical Lead for Interprofessional Education, University of Central Lancashire

Whether you're just piloting a new approach or ready to expand your immersive learning program across your entire organization or institution, ThingLink allows you to adopt immersive learning at your own pace. Deploy your immersive learning experiences in the way that's best for your organization: through a direct link, embed, or seamless integration with your existing LMS and learning software via xAPI. Each experience you create works on any screen, including laptops, smartphones, tablets, VR headsets, and immersive room setups. This gives you the flexibility to scale your immersive learning program using the hardware you already have and adopt new tools when the time is right.

Support Immersive Learning That's Effective and Transfers to the Real World
Provide learners and trainees with immersive, real-world learning experiences like interactive scenarios, virtual campus tours, and safety simulations that reflect authentic environments. These contextual experiences built with ThingLink help learners build confidence, retain knowledge, and apply what they've learned in practical, real-life situations.
Help your learners connect emotionally and cognitively with your material through immersive experiences. By placing them inside virtual tours, simulations, or authentic environments using 2D, 3D, or 360° media, you make learning more relevant, engaging, and easier to remember.
Give your learners the tools to explore and understand technical devices with a 3D overlay that includes digital instructions. With spatial annotations, you can turn any object in a physical space into a learning experience.
Recreate the impact of hands-on, in-person training without the cost or logistical barriers. With ThingLink, you can build immersive learning experiences that learners can access anytime, on any device, allowing you to engage learners across locations using laptops, tablets, smartphones, VR headsets, or shared immersive spaces. This flexibility helps you scale learning, reduce expenses, and maintain consistent quality and learning outcomes.
Replicate real-life conditions in immersive environments where learners can practice procedures, explore complex scenarios, and test decisions, all without the risks of on-site training. Whether it’s an operating room, a factory floor, or a remote field site, ThingLink helps you simulate environments and situations where real-world mistakes would be too costly or dangerous. This gives learners a safe way to build skills and confidence before it really counts.
With just two training centers in the UK and a limited number of trainers, sessions used to involve costly overnight stays and were often delayed due to high demand for available trainers. ThingLink VR training is now delivered as multi-session training courses on Meta Quest 3 headsets for both new employees and external customers. Over £220,000 is saved annually on printed materials and catering, and an estimated 462,600 travel miles are saved. Learning is more engaging, recommended by 99% of attendees. It will be replicated across global teams for further time and cost savings.
At Diocesan School for Girls, Auckland, a rapidly changing curriculum meant that new platforms had to be simple, quick to learn, and support both teacher and student creation. Multilingual support was essential to align with the school's focus on Māori, other languages, and the IB program. Teachers now use ThingLink's AI image generation, Pano to 360°, and other AI tools to create interactive content that resonates with learners. ThingLink's translation tool will be used to translate learning materials into 4 additional languages.
Lockdown made it impossible for students to attend physical field trips, which were a core part of their MSc. 10 individual Virtual Field Trips were created with ThingLink, all accessed via a map, making them easy to navigate. A combination of images, 360° images, 360° video, and video was all recorded in situ. Student feedback was 90% positive, and exam results were identical to courses with in-person field trips. The VFTs won their creator a University-wide Teaching Award. While created during COVID, they were so successful that they are still used for hybrid delivery.
ThingLink has been a great platform for both myself and learners whilst accessing the Castle Campbell case study via Moodle. There is a huge benefit to my learners as the case study developed a layout very similar to the course each learner is undertaking - Planning, Surveying, and Recording the Condition of Built Assets for Conservation (SAC8). The ThingLink platform is simple and effortless to navigate and is now a big part of my course overall including in-class assessments and online learning.Jack Lawson, Training Manager, Historic Environment Scotland
