Many students in the University of Salford’s Public Health program couldn’t attend a critical field trip to Eyam, a historic plague village, due to accessibility or scheduling barriers. Using ThingLink, faculty created a fully immersive, first-person virtual experience of 17th-century Eyam with AI-generated 360° scenes, avatars, and narration. Now, the virtual field trip is inclusive and accessible so every student can engage with this pivotal learning activity on any device and at their own pace.
