What is an Immersive Room?
An immersive room is a shared, interactive physical environment where students and teachers explore and learn together. The room combines projection hardware from ThingLink's AV partners with ThingLink software to create a large-scale immersive experience that an entire group can experience at the same time.
The starting point for every immersive room session is your own ThingLink landing page: a customisable home screen that gives learners and educators instant access to the right content. Departments or teams can publish projects under their own channels, so a nursing class sees clinical scenarios and an engineering class sees technical workflows, all from the same room.
Designed to Adapt to any Immersive Room
Every immersive room is different. Room sizes vary, display configurations range from three walls to five, and schools often need to move setups between classrooms or campuses. ThingLink's Immersive Room app is built for exactly this reality.
For schools or businesses with multiple campuses or departments, this matters. A setup that took days of custom configuration in previous generations of immersive rooms now takes minutes. The same content library serves every room, every campus, every class.
How does it work: Install it, connect your displays, select your wall configuration, and your content is ready to go. A mobile phone on the same network acts as the controller, keeping the setup lightweight and practical.
