Gutzon Borglum was an American artist and sculptor known for his creation of the Mount Rushmore National Memorial (1927-1941) located in Mount Rushmore, South Dakota. 400 workers assisted Gutzon as he carved four famous presidents into the mountain: 1. George Washington 2. Thomas Jefferson 3. Theodore Roosevelt 4.
