Algae are simple plants that live in almost all water sources on the planet. They play an important role in the ecosystem because they are the primary source of food for many fish. Coral reefs are built by 1,000's of small animals, called polyps. Polyps build shells around themselves for protection to make the corral reef. Do you see their tentacles?
