Bryn and Katelyn's project
The totem poles were placed outside of the Northwest tribes homes. Their totem poles were carved out with figures of animals, humans, and spirits. These carvings told about important events about their family's history and indicates social position.
The Northwest tribe used cedar bark shaped like cones for a fish trap. A fish trap is when fish like salmon swim into the fish trap and can't escape. Fish traps were very important because this is what they used the most to catch salmon and any other fish by the lake.
They made their homes out of cedar bark.
