Montreal's new métro cars
SCREENS: Indicates the next station and service delays.
DOOR INDICATORS: Vertical bands of LED lights are green when doors are about to open. They're red when the doors are closing
DOORS: There are three doors on each side of each car. The doors are 27 per cent wider than doors on current métro cars.
LIGHTING: Ambient lighting is created by fluorescent fixtures providing indirect light. LED accent lights are located around the car.
DISABLED: There are two areas for wheelchairs that double as standing room with back support for other passengers.
WINDOWS: Are larger than those on current métro cars.
VENTILATION: There's no air conditioning but ventilation is improved to make the ride more comfortable for passengers.
EMERGENCY: Each car has three to five interphones for use in emergencies.
