<div>We used 4 PVC pipes (2 not shown). The lengths were 12 inches and 9 inches. The pipes were used a a glider for the cups that the base of the claw is sitting on.</div>
<div>The simple machine that could be closely identified with our design is the lever. The lever could be in the scissor lip claw. The fulcrum is the toothpick which helps move the claw. This is an example of a 3rd class lever. </div>
<div>This is the scissor lip claw. We used large Popsicle sticks,toothpicks and hot glue to make it. The scissor lip claw helps the object that is attached to it to move up and down. We have 3 scissor lip claws in our design.</div>
<div>We used two 10 ml syringes. We used these syringes because the others would be too big for our design. A challenge that we faced during the process of building the model was that it was difficult to drill through the syringes to fit the zip ties in.</div>
<div>This is the base where all of our design is sitting on. We used cardboard and corrugated plastic. This helps support all the design.</div>

<div>In this project, we used pneumatic power. Pneumatic Power is the use of compressed air or gas. In our model, we used air, which is under pressure. The pressure results in the movement of object the syringe is attached to.</div>
