Photo credit: AASM<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A digital timeline<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The main hallway of the AASM features a timeline that tells about the history of the school from 1949 to 2009. For the anniversary celebration, the idea was to replace the old timeline with a digital version that lets students interact with the timeline by clicking on various pieces of additional information embedded in the infographics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 3405px;\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn2.hubspot.net\/hubfs\/603436\/Copy%20of%20603I8075.jpg\" alt=\"Copy of 603I8075\" width=\"3405\"><em>Image: Students exploring the digital timeline at The Anglo-American School of Moscow. Photo credit: AASM<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; font-weight: bold;\">Explore the digital timeline by clicking on the penguin icons below:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"margin: 0px auto; display: block;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thinglink.com\/card\/1248980444335046657\" width=\"960\" height=\"1707\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-original-width=\"990\" data-original-height=\"1760\"><\/iframe><br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The digital timeline consists of multiple infographics that are published both&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aas.ru\/about-us\/history\">on the school websit<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aas.ru\/about-us\/history\" rel=\" noopener\">e<\/a> and in the main hallway using 40-inch vertical screens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Engaging students to document the school\u2019s history<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>What comes next? \u201cWe are going to challenge students to document the last 10 years of history digitally using ThingLink. Going forward,&nbsp; students can create a new page to our timeline every new school year, \u201d says Lyubov Bordaeva from the AAS communications team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Summary and results<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This project is a great example of how interactive visuals on large touch screens can help turn a physical space into a place for exploration and learning.
