This is a picture of the Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary school in the year of 2008, which is after Hurricane Katrina.
This is the MLK Library/Elementary. There has been a lot of damage to it during Hurricane Katrina. Most of the building was flooded , but in the years after it was renovated and now it is properly functioning.

This is a picture of the reopening of the Library. It is amazing seeing before and after pictures because you realize how much work was put into finishing it. It is even better than it was before and provides books for students at the school and throughout the neighborhood.
